On Site testing

NDTL's site equipment is portable, battery powered and allows for several hundred piles to be evaluated per day.

The Relative Impulse Response method is utilised for all 'tests'.

The RIR method was specifically developed for evaluating cast in-situ piles and is widely acknowledged as the most sophisticated method of testing and reporting currently available.

Use of the RIR method provides a reliable, accurate and cost effective solution on contracts where Pile Integrity Evaluations have been specified.

The RIR test data are clear and straightforward to interpret by a non-specialist reviewer.

'Neck' in bored cast in-situ pile at 3m below COL. 'Neck' in CFA pile at 4m. 'Neck' in CFA pile at 3m. Void in CFA pile caused by installing piles too close together too soon RIR test result showing a 'bulb' in pile section between 6m & 8m depth and 'toe' at ~17.7m. RIR test data showing impedance anomaly at 15m (investigated by coring and found to be a soil inclusion)
